Hey bro,
I want to share the most HONEST look at human behavior.
No lies, no fake shit,
The TRUTH.
Go and watch a video of a live negotiation on YouTube after you read this email. (It’s usually a couple of jewelers in New York battling over a Rolex)
The reason why this is important, is because as I always say. Humans are ANIMALS. And we are selfish by nature.
Someone usually throws out a ridiculous offer that no one would take.
If the other person falls for this trap, he was too stupid to keep his money anyway.
This is how it really is. If you aren’t hip to the game, you’ll get bent over a barrel with no remorse.
It also happens with credit card companies, interest rates, and child support.
You HAVE to be selfish sometimes.
Negotiation is notoriously uncomfortable. Because we have been taught to believe that everyone is going to be “fair” and “honest”
But anyone who saw the toilet paper situation during the pandemic realizes that when push comes to shove, people DGAF what you want.
You need to take it.
Obviously there is balance. You should try to create a win-win situation with anybody you’re dealing with.
But you need to “put your own mask on first” as they would tell you over an airplane intercom.
You were born, but it wasn’t yesterday.
So start to learn how you’re being manipulated as soon as possible so you can stop yourself from being made a fool.
