how to stop being the "nice guy"

(it ruins your life)

Hey bro,

Isn't it funny?

Whenever you start winning, there's always someone trying to piss in your cereal.

I am all for love and positivity, but in this world, evil exists. And it doesn't have horns or a forked tail. REAL evil is in the mind of people. Both you, and me.

You have to be able to protect yourself.

Because not everyone wants to see you win. Hell, sometimes even your family gets jealous.

Here is the best mindset I have found for dealing with the world how it REALLY is. Not how you wish it could be. Because those are two completely different things.

As always,

I want to start with human psychology. Because people LIE. But behavior doesn't.

I want you to imagine a scenario. You're playing your favorite game in the world with your friends. And a new guy comes into the game and straight-up beats you.

No excuses, no cheating. You lost.

How does it feel? Not very good right?

Exactly. And they say our actions are largely influenced by our moods. After all, the color yellow looks a lot different when you're happy than when you're pissed off right?

So what does this mean? When you lose, it feels bad. And we tend to project that anger outward.

So when you're winning in life, (even if it's totally stupid)

Other people unconsciously feel that they are losing. And instead of studying why they lost they come up with any toxic vomit they can to make you the bad guy.

It’s biased nonsense dreamt up by someone that’s mad they lost.

This is why haters are important.

Because if you don't have any, are you really winning?

People are naturally competitive, whether they'll admit it or not. And seeing someone with everything you could ever want makes you feel like a failure.

This is why you need a strong mindset.

Not everyone wants the best for you. In fact, there are people out there that are actively trying to sabotage you.

Take it as a compliment. This just means that you really are as good as you think.

And that threatens others,

I am not going to say it's easy but if you let a stranger who would leave you out in the cold decide your value, you'll never change the world.

"Want to make everyone happy? Don't do anything awesome."

I just made that up, pretty sweet right?

Go get 'em.
