Hey bro,
I've said it once, and I'll say it again.
If you can't sell, you're F*CKED.
The good news is, you don't have to be a natural salesman to learn this skill. Hell, I trained guys who couldn't talk to their mom and made them absolute studs in door to door.
But there are a few things that gurus lie about.
And I am going to address them in this email. I am also going to give you a link to a book that is fantastic for beginners to understand how to succeed in sales. (and in life)
Vamos.
First things first, selling anything to anyone is bullshit.
Try selling chewing tobacco to your grandma. It just doesn't work. People buy things they want. So you need to find out what people want and then sell it to them.
The tricky part is everyone has different tastes. These are called demographics. If you want to sell pictures of naked women, it's going to be easier to sell this to men.
And if you want to sell candles, that demographic is usually women. (usually)
So instead of trying to sell everything to everyone,
Try to think about what kind of person would buy what you're selling. Or if you don't have a product or service, think about the interests people have and solve their problems.
The reason why this works is because when you target a SPECIFIC type of person,
That prospect feels like the product was made for him. It makes him feel special and it makes him want to buy. Because it aligns with his beliefs and the way he sees the world.
Also,
If you try to reach everyone, you reach no one.
There is value in creating a counterculture around your products. If you can decline people who aren't right for your product, the people who are value it more.
This creates FOMO, which is hardwired into our minds to make sure we don't fall behind.
So in a nutshell the way to sell anything to anyone is to sell people what they want. Sales is a numbers game. And you don't want to waste your time.
Don't listen to these gurus.
Sales are made by giving ONE person exactly what he wants.
Not giving everyone something they "kinda" want.
