escape the vortex of vice

how to break the chains of addiction

Hey bro,

Here's a tip on battling addiction.

Obviously, this is a deep topic and there are a bunch of factors that go into it.

Don't take this as gospel, I am only going to tell you things that have worked in my personal life and situation with addiction.

I am currently quitting smoking. Well.. vaping.

And it was very difficult because I didn't have a good enough reason to say "no" When my friends offer me a hit, there isn't a hangover or downside at that moment.

It seems like it doesn't matter. But it does.

I have noticed that when I vape, I have a head-rush moment followed by a small stomachache.

These aren't life or death, but they still knock me out of the flow state that I could have been in while working on my projects.

So what's the reason to quit?

For me, it's because when I don't have those nauseous moments I never lose momentum. I don't have to re-calibrate every 15 minutes when I have a smoke.

This ties into my bigger purpose in life. I want to make the most out of myself.

You don't actually want to quit.

You just haven't found a reason why quitting will make your life better.

Go get 'em!
