the ancient Buddhist secret

how to control your reality

Hey bro,

A ton of people have been asking me.

"Luka, what does meditation do? and how do I get started?"

When I first started meditating 5 years ago, I asked this same question. It's kind of a weird story so you're gonna want to read this till the end.

Let's get into it.

When I first started to meditate, I was doing it because I love self-improvement. So it seemed like something I should be doing right?

Sure.

But I didn't understand WHY I was doing it. After all, knowing why you're doing something helps you figure out when you've actually done it.

At first, I used an app called Headspace. (fantastic for beginners)

I would meditate 10 minutes a day and wanted to rip my hair out. But then I discovered a book called "the power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.

This book was a huge hit. So the author knows what he's talking about.

He opened my eyes to the idea that your brain has multiple levels. Waking, relaxed, almost asleep, and deep sleep. This allows you to block out distractions so you can rest.

In today's world, distractions are everywhere. Ads, social media, real-life problems, and a million other things.

This makes it difficult to think clearly.

So to wrap this up,

Meditation teaches you to control your brain. When you are meditating, you aren't as affected by outside information, emotions, or problems.

Essentially, it's shooting free throws for controlling your emotions.

There is plenty of guided meditations on YouTube so I won't get into that here,

But meditation is the backbone of stoicism.

Because when you control your mind, you control your entire universe. And the world reacts to the energy you create from within.

This is why if you meditate, you'll have a serious leg up on the competition.

Go get em!
